Santa Parade

November 19, 2017

The weather was really crazy. The morning started off very cold, windy, and the rain poured down as if poured from buckets. But the organizers did not cancel the Parade, so members of the AWorks Team decided to participate despite the weather. By the time Tom “Woody” Wood arrived at the Rajczyk home, things started to settle down. Adam, Daniel, Lisa, and Eva Rajczyk piled into Woody’s car and went to the staging area at the Wood School in Bradford.

Initially, we planned to take both Molly and Dakota with us. But because of the fact that Dakota is not yet comfortable with strangers and because of the weather, we decided to leave the dogs at home. And while we were waiting for the parade to start and hoped for a chance to decorate the car, the sky cleared up and the sun warmed us. We all had a good time. Adam rode in Woody’s car (Besides Asperger’s, Woody also has Cerebral Palsy and cannot walk long distances). The rest of us marched ahead of the decorated car carrying the AWorks banner. Although the sun was out, the wind did not abate and often we had the feeling that we would fly away as the wind lifted our banner.
