Josiah Morrow, Daniel Rajczyk, and Andrea Watson were on hand to welcome our guests from far and near to our Open House, whose purpose was to introduce the community to our new home in Haverhill.
2020 was a difficult year for everyone and Asperger Works was no exeption. For awhile, we were able to maintain our office in Lawrence although we were not able to use it – the building having been closed due to COVID-19. Eventually, it became apparent that without consequential fundraising activities we would have great difficulty sustaining our office or even staying afloat as a viable organization. To their credit, the management company at 60 Island Street permitted us to remain in our office through September 2020 without paying rental fees. In the meantime, we held our meetings virtually and tried our hand at doing at least one on-line event, which we called Un-Dinner 2020.
But still we had no physical home for our office. Luckily for us, the First Presbyterian Church of Haverhill stepped in and offered us office space.
Our Open House not only celebrates our reopening, but also the generosity of the church and hopefully the end of the pandemic.
A big thank you to everyone who came and made this event so very successful.
