The night of February 24, 2016 was an amazing night for Asperger Works!
We participated in the EforAll Pitch Contest. Entrepreneurship for All’s mission is to accelerate economic and social impact through entrepreneurship in mid-sized cities. Asperger Works was one of seven organization chosen out of over fifty to compete for the final prizes. Our ED, Daniel Rajczyk, laid the groundwork and it was through his efforts that we got to this stage of the contest. We did not know what to expect. We only knew that the pitch speech would need to be 2 1/2 minutes long – way too short to get all of our ideas across. In fact, when our turn came, our presenter, Eva, was not able to finish the speech because she ran out of time!
As a result, we decided that just being one of the seven was something to celebrate.
After all the presentations were finished, every contestant nervously waited for the results. When Asperger Works did not win the third- or the second-place prize, we were convinced that this was not our night.
Therefore, it came as a total surprise when the announcement was made that Asperger Works was the 1st Place winner!
