D I N N E R P O S T P O N E D
DUE TO THE PRESENCE OF THE CORONA VIRUS IN OUR NEIGHBORHOODS
As all of us throughout the country try to grapple with the effects of the virus that has invaded most countries in the world, we have had to make some adjustments in our lives. We know by now all the recommendations: wash your hands often, don’t touch your face, sneeze and/or cough into your sleeve or a tissue, don’t shake hands, keep your distance from others, and don’t congregate with crowds of people. (For more details, we would like to refer you to the World Health Organization’s Website.)
Since the virus has arrived in Haverhill, our organization has been watching the news and monitoring the situation closely, especially since our fundraising dinner was scheduled to take place on April 18. No one knows when or how soon the epidemic will start to abate but it is safe to assume that we will still not be out of the woods by mid-April.
We, at Asperger Works, believe that your safety and health is of the utmost importance. Therefore, we decided to follow the CDC’s newest recommendation – no gathering of 50 or more people for the next 8 weeks – and postpone our Dinner of Hope to a later, safer date.
