Disability Month Meet & Greet
Mes de la Discapacidad: Encuentro y Saludo
October 25, 2023
October proved to be a busy month for Asperger Works Inc.
Dinner of Hope 2023
We hit the ground running with our highly anticipated annual fundraiser, the Dinner of Hope 2023, which exceeded all expectations. This incredible event not only brought our community together but also raised vital support for our cause.
Community Give Back Day
As if that wasn’t enough, we had the honor of participating in Lawrence’s Community Give Back Day, a momentous occasion where we had the chance to give back to the City of Lawrence that has given us so much over the years.
Disability Month Meet & Greet
But the excitement continued to build! Soon after, we were privileged to attend the 2nd Annual Disability Month Meet & Greet at the Council on Aging & Senior Center (aka the Lawrence Citizens Center). This remarkable gathering, sponsored by the Lawrence Commission on Disability, that is led by our very own Daniel Rajczyk, who is its vice-chair, epitomized inclusivity and advocacy for disability rights. The Meet & Greet was organized by Lawrence ADA Coordinator Richard Rodriguez who is also a Commission member. This was an inspiring gathering of organizations coming together to celebrate inclusivity and advocate for disability rights.
Memories
Immortalizing these treasured memories, we extend our heartfelt appreciation to photographers Lisa and Eva Rajczyk, whose skilled lenses captured the essence of the event. Take a journey back in time and relive this wonderful experience through their photographs.
