The sadness of what has happened in Morocco due to an earthquake near Marakesh and Lybia due to flooding is devastating. And in Lybia it is compounded by the lack of major coverage on the news.
2,946 lost their lives due to the 6.8 magnitude earthquake that struck the High Atlas Mountains on September 8 in Morocco. 5,674 people have been injured. As late as last Wednesday (9/13) there have been strong after-shocks reported.
To date, over 11,000 people have died and over 10,000 are still unaccounted for as Lybians try to deal with the results of a flash flood that caused two dams to fail in Derna, Lybia, according to the United Nations
